I really hate when people make up shite...Malik Newman was 0/4 from 3 against LSU.

Another thing, Mississippi State made 6 3-point FG's in the 1st half...they finished with 7. Their 7th 3 came with 15 seconds left in the game and LSU was up by 14.

If anyone is interested here, I wrote a preview on The Rant.

I think USC pulls it off by 5 or so, as well. It's just so difficult to play on the road, and USC is so experienced and tough. It's hard to go on the road and win regardless, but even harder on the road when you're playing a defensive minded team that will make you hit shots.

He's good to go. With TQ its all about his mental mindset, not physical abilities. When he's locked in, he's something special. But this year it seems he plays hard for 2 games, takes 2-3 games completely off. Really have no idea what to expect from him anymore night in and night out. I know if it's a big game at home he will ball out. But on the road, I have no idea

I just have zero respect for the Gamecocks. Not going to lose any sleep over this one. We roll them at home.

I haven't seen LSU play so I have no idea what to expect from them. USC will take the ball to rim so LSU will need to defend that without fouling. Few teams use more players than we do so depth and foul trouble have been issued for opponents. There isn't 1 "star" player but the production is balanced.

I don't think quarterman has taken a game off in weeks. Yes there was a stretch there where he was pouting but that has long since come and gone.

Our perimeter defense is going to give your guards issue as we basically pick you up when you cross half court

Man, I think our perimeter defense sucks. Just ask Riley Norris or Kevin Punter. We crash on the guy driving and leave wide open men behind the arc all night long.

I am excited to see Simmons play in person, and I can only hope that the CLA is rocking and we pull out the win. Should be really good game.

As important as Simmons is LSU's most important player is Craig Victor. They simply have zero talent behind him and Victor is very very foul prone.

When he stays out of foul trouble LSU plays really well. When he has to sit for 10 minute stretches they really struggle.

Because of that I think this is a bad matchup for LSU. Carolina draws a lot of fouls and they're at home. I would be shocked if Victor didnt get in early foul trouble.

It's gonna be a tough matchup. Tougher than some of you LSU fans think. We're very streaky and our perimeter defense is very inconsistent. Who is LSUs no name player that gets a lot of time? Expect him to have 20 points tonight

Carrera and Silva can rack up early fouls, forcing them to sit longer than they should. Dozier and Thornwell can be very good, and also very bad. We're a weird team. Anyone can beat us (Georgia) and we can beat anyone (Texas A&M). If Carrera and Silva stay out of foul trouble, we should be okay. But then you have to account for Simmons, and I expect him to have a big game.

Key to the game

Will Thornwell go 8-13 from the field with 25 points

or

0-14 from the field with 2 points.

He can do both, and his play is our X factor.
