At UGA, I'll say that Pruitt's defenses were better against the pass but worse against the run. A lot of that has to do with depth and talent, and it's a much better situation for him now.
Do Bama fans suddenly hate Kirby now that they have Pruitt? He was the DC for arguably the best defense in your school's history.

From my view Pruitt seems a bit more aggressive with his calls than Smart. Blitz twist stunt, all of the things that creates pressure.
I don't think he's afraid of the arse chewing he might get. He just let's it fly.
I think Smart right now has to much on his plate. He needs to accelerate his learning curve as a HC.

I love what Kirby did. Love Pruitt D more though. We seem to get more sacks and turnovers under Pruitt.
