Louisiana State's purple uniforms

Just watched a sweet Leonard Fournette hype video that my buddy shared on FB. Of course it only showed him in the purple top for maybe 2 or 3 runs. I love that scheme compared to their white jerseys. I guess they only wear them like once or MAYBE twice a year & it must be in some blowout game that nobody outside of LSU fans watch that's aired on something like ESPNU or ESPN360 or whatever during a crappy time slot because I never see them play in them & I've been keeping up w/ SEC football for 3.5 years.
They so need to consider making them their home jerseys. I really like their other unique things like painting every sideline marker number & as far as I know they're probably the only school left that has two goal post bars.
Anyways just wanted to say that the purple uinforms (in my opinion) are sweet as hell & they should wear them more.

Pretty much only for crappy non-SEC home games. They have to get permission from every visiting team to wear the whites at home. Last team they refused was Oregon St in 2004, I think.

Always liked them the best, but most of their fans think wearing a white jersey over yellow pants every game is mystical.

I think Florida St. Still uses 2 goal post bars. Yes, the purple uniforms are boss.

This isn't true. That used to be the rule, and Vandy famously refused to let LSU wear them, but the NCAA changed the rule and now the home team dictates what colors they wear.

This. State wore white when LSU went to Starkville in 2007.

I like the classic whites, but these are sharp as hell. Wish LSU would wear them more.

Neither can I. I just remember Brandon LaFell damn near decapitating that poor bastard in 2007 and Chad Jones' TD return in 2009. LSU was wearing purple for both.

You're a North Carolina fan, why would you care? Why would a friend send you a LSU hype video. I have never seen a NC hype video and wouldn't watch one if I had to. This is weird, dude.

No. We just didn't like the NCAA telling us what color jerseys we had to wear and that we couldn't wear the ones we traditionally wore. There's nothing wrong with the purple jerseys and we still wear them when we want to. There's nothing magical about the white jerseys. It's just a tradition that we like to continue and is definitely the most recognizable LSU uniform.
