FIFY.

Orgeron is a class act, ala-shame-ians, not so much.

Saban is a West Virginia native, BTW.

Saban is a class act. Louisianans, not so much.

And it is deliciously ironic that the first place saban and devall look to for recruiting is fertile recruiting rich Louisiana - the #1 state per capita for blue-chippers.
Since ala-shame-a doesn't come close to Louisiana for high school talent, guess they have to go somewhere.
Also ironic that we signed two players from Alabama this year..........

Such a talent. Sucks it didn't get developed into a NFL career.

You sure about this? First, I think Alabama's HS talent in most years is comparable to LA's. This year, for example, AL has 2 top 100 players (a down year), and LA has 1 (a down year).

Also, every school "has to go somewhere" other than their own state for HS talent. When was the last time LSU fielded a team of entirely LA players? Bama goes to California, NJ, Tx, FL, GA, and many other states - not just LA. Its just that we do like to cherry pick from LA from time to time.

It's only a matter of time until he is a high school head coach in New Orleans.

Had you said north Louisiana, you might have been on track. Devall has no skins in NOLA, and that is huge in that area.

Congrats to him for his job. I know in his youthful exuberance he doesn't mind working before sun up to well past the evening news.

Denzel Devall handled his recruitment with class. Even though he left his home state to go play for the bad guys, he did it without ruffling too many feathers. He was a very solid contributor for Alabama as a player, and it seems like he's being rewarded for his hard work. I wish him nothing but continued success.

It's good to see some level headed folks on both sides to show up occasionally.

Did he replace the Director of Player of Development that failed to develop him into an NFL player making 10 times what UA is going to pay him?
