The last time AU lost to a team not in a major conference (BCS AQ/P5) at the time of the game was October 5, 1991, when they fell 10-9 to Southern Miss. Saturday's thrilling come-from-behind overtime victory over a scrappy Jacksonville State squad was the 66th consecutive over such teams.

Here's a look at the rest of the SEC schools' non-major winning streaks:

LSU: 41 (last loss 9/23/00 vs UAB)
SCarolina: 36 (last loss 9/13/99 vs East Carolina)
TAMU: 23 (last loss 8/30/08 vs Arky State)
MSU: 21 (last loss 10/10/09 vs Houston)
Bama: 18 (last loss 1/2/09 vs Utah)
UTee: 18 (last loss 11/8/08 vs Wyoming)
Mizzou: 15 (last loss 12/31/09 vs Navy)
Ole Freezus: 13 (last loss 11/12/11 vs LA Tech)
UGa: 10 (last loss 9/3/11 vs Boise St)
UK: 6 (last loss 8/31/13 vs WKU)
Florida: 4 (last loss 11/23/13 vs GA Southern)

ECU, Boise St., and UH would blow JSU out of the water.

A couple of these stand out.

Alabama played an undefeated Utah team in the Sugar Bowl. Counting Bama, Utah defeated 4 ranked teams that year.

Boise State is the winningest program in FBS football over the last 10 years and it isn't even close. Boise State lost one game in 2011.

Congrats to Auburn on not playing any Group of 5 teams with a pulse for two decades.

Then roll on back to 2007 Louisiana-Monroe for Bama.

I only listed teams with active winning streaks.

As previously posted, Bama fell to LA-Monroe the season before the Utah loss, and can count defeats at the hands of Northern Illinois, Hawaii, Southern Miss and LA Tech (twice) in the previous ten years.

In the last game UGa played before losing to BSU to open the '11 season, they lost to UCF in the Liberty Bowl. So they actually had a losing streak to non-P5 teams going.

Instead of this, can you point out the last Auburn conference win.

Sure.

It was against the same team that beat Bama.

Auburn didn't win that game. Y'alls AD got on the phone with JSU's AD and told them to lay down or get the UAB treatment.

You know it, I know it, they know it and the Lord knows it.

There is no other explanation for them running out the clock in the 4th or for the shanked punt. If they wanted to win that game, they would have easily done so.

Congrats on threatening to cancel their football program and them taking it seriously?
