Looking to travel to Starkville on September 10th for the game.

What are the best bars to go to after the game? Yelp has Wild Wing Cafe sitting at a strong five ranking but last time I was there I got sick ordering an item off the "spud zone" and the flaming parmesan wings were not flaming at all.
The dark horse tavern just looks downright shady. May be a go to. It is ranked # 1 on yelp. Plus any bar I've ever been to on a Martin Luther King Jr. Drive has usually been promising.
Fountain Bar does have a nice fountain
Did Mugshots get their liquor license back?

Bring ear plugs as once they see you are a visitor, the fans make it a point to sit right behind you & ring those bells in your ears all game long. They think it is funny.

This is true, we have a strategic allocation of away game tickets whereby the visiting teams receive tickets on alternating rows in those sections so State fans can sit behind them ringing bells. Then we put you on the jumbotrons and laugh. All in good fun.

We always stay at the Pearl River Resort in Choctaw when we go ... it's a little bit of a drive to Starkville for the game but worth it. Great golf course there too - Rabbit Run or something like that. Lemme look at my hat real quick ... nope, it's The Dancing Rabbit.

Daves is a great place for pizza beer and life music.

Dave's is in a shady as shite spot for sure, but it's a good time and the food is great. Easily the best bar in Starkville.

I'm going with a buddy of mine as well, staying at the Hotel Chester. Any recommendations near there? Mugshots Grill and Bar looks pretty cool.

You are slap in the middle of everything. Nice bar at the Chester. You can walk to 15 different places within an evening. Not a bad spot....Although for a hangover, The Little Dooey is a must.
