Looking at Fournette's numbers you have to think...

…that if he has a good game tomorrow he is still in it for the Heismen. he is about to tie Herchel Walker with respect to single season yards and he had the same number of games since he missed a game that got cancelled. The dude is the real deal and if they actually look at the numbers he is still in it.

He will at the very least get an invite
I'd be surprised if he won due to our record

He will be there to watch Henry get the trophy, sadly. Henry has outperformed him down the stretch.

If he breaks Herschel Walkers record he should win the Heisman. Fourette has done it with less of a supporting cast than Henry. Without Fournette LSU would be Auburn.

LSU may not win (I am guessing they will) but hard to imagine he will not put up big numbers versus A&M.

I think Auburn had 4 losses the year Bo won the Heismen.

Fournette is still running for 225+ on our defense and that's a pretty conservative number.
I'd say that'd help his cause but Buga's daughter could put 100+ on us right now.

Yeah, no.
He'll get an invite for sure, though.

Being a Bama fan I would have no problem with Fournette winning the award. I still think his natural ability trumps all RBs in college. I could honestly be happy with either Henry or Fournette. They seem to both be respectable young men that hold their programs in high esteem. Kudos to both top shelf running backs.

I think he's a better RB than Henry, but it's such a "what have you done lately" award now. Lately, Henry has shown out while Fournette has slowed down, significantly.
It will take a record breaking performance against aTm and two poor performances by Henry for LF to win it, IMO.

I think Fournette's numbers against us will look better than Henry's against Barn + Florida.
ETA: At that point I think they look at the entire season in which case I think Buga is the better candidate.
BUT... SEC champ and 1-loss bama could be too much for him to overcome. Best player on best team has a lot of sway

Same here. Would love to have seen Leonard have his tight end and fullback for the whole season but that's football. Henry had the best game I've seen by a running back against LSU in over 5 decades of watching the Tigers.

I just don't see all the love, he ran wild on teams that had no D, against good D's he shite the bed end of story.

Henry probably has a better chance to break Herschel's record because he'll likely have an extra game.
Plus he'll break the single season TD record.

Well when he was running wild on teams, LSU had the best O Line in the country-- or so I was repeatedly reading on this board. Suddenly he stopped performing and it was 'imagine if he ran behind Alabama's line,' the same line that just 3 weeks ago was like 120th in the country in negative plays. I'm thinking the quality of LSU's line happens to fit whatever delusional narrative they're clinging to at the moment. Very mercurial, and illogical, these LSU fans.

He'll be invited.
I think he could have won it if he put over 200 yards against Ole Miss.

If LSU was a slight threat to pass Fournette wins that trophy

And if Henry wins we'll have to listen to people bitch about it because they think stats are all that matters.
With that said. LF should definitely get an invite to New York, unless he has a shite game against A&M, but with A&M's run defense there is no way that happens.
Nothing has changed for LF, IMO. He's still the most talented RB in the nation, and still one of the most talented if you include the NFL. Just my opinion.
