The national media hates Alabama after how they sonned LSU in the national championship game last year. Most of them are pissed off at Alabama for getting that mulligan. Also, I think they're getting tired of Alabama's dominance. If you read some sports articles written in the mid '90s, there were some blistering articles absolutely trashing Nebraska football. It comes with the territory.

That doesn't mean shite. Everybody knew Alabama was a better team than Oklahoma State last year. They knew Oklahoma State would have been blown out by LSU in the national championship game. It doesn't mean the national media likes Alabama. They just put their rationale ahead of their emotions in voting Alabama #2.
