Let's talk about SEC officiating, or more accurately the lack thereof.

In a mind boggling statistic- 11 of the 14 teams in the southeastern conference rank in the bottom third of opponents penalty yardage. Of the 130 D1 football teams, this is where the SEC stacks up.
90. Tennessee
91. Georgia
97(t). Texas A&M
97(t). Mississippi State
104. Vanderbilt
109. Arkansas
119. Auburn
123. LSU
127. Missouri
128. South Carolina
130. Alabama
Ole miss at 79 and Florida at 82 made the middle third by a whisker, and Kentucky came in at 36th.
While the "bad calls" have been plentiful and draw the most attention, it's the lack of calls at all that is more perplexing. "Letting them play" is one thing, but there is no rhyme or reason to SEC officiating. Egregious fouls go uncalled, ticky tack fouls get flagged, reviews aren't made in cases where they 100% should be (Florida out of bounds, Kirk touchdown just from last weekend)
What the frick is going on? It's an alarming statistic when your conference is all grouped up together at the bottom (as it would be if they were grouped at the top). This year more than most it seems particularly bad, like the refs allow the crowd and flow of the game (make up calls, etc) to dictate the flags rather than calling what they see on the field.

If you want to see some real bullshite look at our game vs. Arky.
They had a WR bobble a catch going out of bounds. Initially they ruled a catch. Then they reviewed it and ruled it incomplete. Then they say that Arky called a timeout to challenge the play and they flip the call again and say that it wasn't a challenge that it was a review from the booth.
If it was a review from the booth who the frick was reviewing it the first time?

Something is definitely fricky. LSU fans bitch about it all the time, but Saturday they actually had the right to. The out of bounds play was absurd, and they issued offsetting personal fouls when the Florida guy punches the kid from LSU right in front of the ref.
Turns out LSU does get fricked, they just think they're the only ones.

The Kentucky player knocking the ball out of Mizzou players hand and then the old ref grandpa shuffling to get the ball spotted was the most egregious for me.
Made a difference of having about 12-16 seconds left to 3 seconds

It's called gambling. They are either wagering themselves or helping the books get what they need. I'm leaning to the latter.
Ever wonder why coaches are heavily fined for criticizing them? Sounds like the corruption runs deeper than the refs.

There were three calls in our game that should be impossible to miss
1. The out of bounds play. Not only did they miss a guy step out of bounds 5 times, with two of the steps being over a foot out of bounds, they also failed to even review it.
2. An lsu player got pushed, and then punched in the helmet, and they threw offsetting penalties. I have never seen a player throw a punch and not be ejected, much less result in offsetting penalties.
3. We had an offensive lineman completely jump pre-snap and they somehow didnt throw a flag
Those are calls that have no excuse to ever be missed

it's bad officiating all the way around.

I still have no idea how that went the way it did. First, the Kentucky player should have been flagged for delay of game or something ... The clock should have stopped or have been backed up
That was a cluster frick.

That crew was pretty awful all around. There was a late series where Mizzou was blatantly offsides and Stephen Johnson threw it up because everyone (announcers, players, etc) expected the flag to be thrown. But no flag. It was crazy.
