Would this be the most painful defeat in LSU's history? And/or possibly the most painful loss by any college football team ever?

I have 2 coworkers and a father-in-law who are pretty diligent LSU fans and they still harbor this jilted lover thing for Saban...which seems very prevalent among LSU faithful. It's not that they necessarily want Saban more than Miles...it's just that the wounds from Saban leaving have never fully healed.

That, combined with a potential loss to a Saban-coached team in the championship game, make this scenario potentially very ugly for LSU fans.

I think a rematch is unfair primarily because of this reason. If LSU were to lose this game - with the back story going in - I think it would create more than a few Updykes down on the bayou.

it would force LSU to recoginze the AP as a legit NC after years of claiming it was irrelevant.

Doesn't matter for 2 reasons

1. Bama won't win

2. It would be split anyway

I just day-dreamed LSU and Alabama running out of the tunnel in NOLA. And it was WAY more awesome than flippin OSU running out. IF the BCS spits out UA-LSU shite will go down! Think of the back story. Maybe the hatred between some fans. The WANT to beat each other. Does anyone think LSU-OSU would be more fun than LSU-ALABAMA?

We aren't alabama fans. Football doesn't control every aspect of our lives. We don't name our children "rolltide" or "bear"

Oh and we're gonna stomp your beloved crimson necks

No. The pressure would be all on Alabama, Nick Saban, and Alabama fans.

Facing 2 losses to LSU in one season, 3 in a row to LSU/Les Miles.

Losing in the championship game to LSU to cap a year where they beat you twice would probably cause half of the state of alabama to commit suicide.

Has bama ever lost twice to the same team in any given year?

I might have to disagree with that. Alabama will be playing with house money. Just think about player reaction to the matchup. Alabama players will be PUMPED. There will be some disappointment with in LSU's side. Unless its only the fans being pussies. That wasn't directed at any respectful LSU fans.

with a month off, the injured LSU DBs will be back.

the O-line injuries to both teams will be minimized.

bring it on.

Game in LSU city/dome.

I think LSU's players would be equally pumped to prove they are truly the best team in the land.

Let's say we meet up and you lose. What excuses will we hear?
