I mean, they are respectable, but not in the upper tier, or even close to it. Things have fallen off the rails and this train is tumbling down hill fast.
I respect their history and commitment to family and all, but guys lets be honest about it. If they were in the east they would finish 3rd or 4th - that's bad.

I don't see how you can be with horrible offense. So I'd agree. I also don't think Gus can fix it so it's not just the current state of the offense, ultimately, the coach needs to be replaced. That's a big portion of the "program". What's not broken is recruiting and defense...and they can build on that...but they better start building fast because no recruit playing on either side of the ball is going to want to come to Auburn and lose football games for any reason...and once recruiting starts to slide also, Auburn "fringe elite" status is gone and we'll be battling Arkansas, OM and MSU every year for third place in the West. First and second being a foregone conclusion

Oh please. 2 Natty appearances in the last 7 years and a win doesn't=never. If you are referring to perennial powerhouse status...that is different. That's something Bama still had under Dubose and Shula, in spite of not being elite at that time. That's something Nebraska still is in spite of definitely not being elite

AU is a competent coach away from being able to compete with Bama year in and year out. all the other pieces are there. we just have a shite for brains driving right now. enjoy it while you can like we did Shula. you know as well as I do this shite wont last forever.
