What other playoff teams does the rant see as the biggest threat to beat either?

Since Florida and Bama are built fairly similarly as far as strong areas and weak ones, I would assume it would be the same teams. But if you think differently then that's fine.

Pretty much anyone in the top 10 could probably manage their way in if the cards fall right over the next three weekends.

So that gives us Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, Iowa, Oklahoma, Michigan State, Baylor, TCU.

Here's the way I'd rank them. And I may be way off, like most of you I don't really keep up with and watch the rest of the country as much as the SEC. And there is a possibility one of these just couldn't get in no matter what, but with the committee I'd assume everyone technically has a shot.

1. Oklahoma - They score a lot of points, have a decent defense. And outside of the loss to rival Texas they have been pretty good. They also have the type of offense and quarterback that at least Bama struggles with.

2. Oklahoma State

3. Clemson

4. Baylor

5. Ohio State (all the talent in the world, but just don't seem to have it together this year)

6. TCU (but this really depends on how Boykin comes back from injury)

7. Notre Dame

8. Michigan State

9. Iowa

ETA: forget TCU, didn't realize they dropped that far.

Bama's DL would eat Baker Mayfield alive. Our D Line got to him all night, just couldn't get him down. Really was the deciding factor in the game.

UF/OU would be a good game.

Meyer is going to make Saban quit

I think I saw where OU's OL has allowed 30ish sacks. Which is a lot considering Mayfield is pretty quick on his feet

Here's the only way Meyer could get to Saban:

Exactly. When they played us, they had a RS. Freshman OT and True Freshman OT starting. Mayfield made us look terrible by extending plays and making us pay for it.

I don't think Robinson, Pettway, Allen, and Reed would let that happen.

Bama would wreck ND, Iowa, TCU and Ohio State.

Don't know enough about the others to say anything about them

Ohio State didn't look all that great until the post-season last year either. Got to think they'd still be the biggest threat.

It's Alabama or bust for this shitty conference.

Noticed that too

Along with that, Bama's oline hasn't been necessarily stellar in pass protection either

Thought it was funny. Know that's not what he meant but damn when yo Dline is giving up sacks that's really turrible!

We replaced 3 NFLers on the Oline with three highschool kids that had never played a down of college football so everybody blitzed our arse off all season. They gave up a lot of sacks over the first half of the season but they seem to have settled in.

Ohio State
Clemson
Oklahoma

I think the SEC is down this year including Bama but I also wouldn't pick against Bama.

I'd rather assume AlaBama gets beat by AUburn & Florida by Florida State; but, I make NO assumptions.

Lots of football left to be played.

Obviously rantards feel Oklahoma State is a pushover.
At least they thought they'd be a pushover in 2011.

Sort of like the way they've felt about the last 2 weeks` games.
