19-10 over last 3 seasons. 10-8 in the SEC. The team was a mess all 4 games this year. 3-5 in last 8 regular season games. 2-4 in last 6 SEC games.

You don't fire a coach for a bad spell. You fire him when he has no answers and things keep getting worse and worse. His overall record was irrelevant. He was clueless at the end.

Les Miles used to be successful. Used to be. The game changed and he could not adapt. At all. That's okay. Not everyone can. He was good for a long time. This was a 5-7 team and LSU was going to get blown out repeatedly as the season wore on. He was told to make changes and refused.

The "Les Miles was LSU's most successful coach" thing was based off of 2005-2013. Those days are gone. He still recruited really well but the product on the field got worse as worse.

Everyone saying that LSU can't do better than Les Miles is just wrong. Maybe not his overall record but the "Les Miles of right now," just about any average coach would be better.

He has no answers at all. None. And when you fail on the field more often than not with a really talented roster and you don't even know what is wrong and have no idea how to fix it, you have to be let go. That is what happened. It should have happened at the end of last season, but his record and who he is bought him one more chance that he completely squandered.

It isn't about LSU in 2006 or 2007 or 2010 or 2011. It is about LSU right now. Literally anyone could take this team and go 7-5. Les was driving it straight to 4-8 or 5-7. That is why he was fired. He was done and had no answers and no plan.

You don't have to explain that to tRant

They're too dense to realize a change needed to be made

It's very hard for a HC to remain effective for >10 years. Not unique to Les at all.

Les Miles fall began when players recruited by Saban ran out of eligibility.

That's the hard, cold truth.

He went 44-9 from 2010-2013 with an SEC title. What are you talking about?

Damn solid post.

I've been saying that since 2012, the program has been on a steady decline and Miles has no answers. His friendship with Cameron was his downfall.

He's a great man who will be missed but, his time at LSU needed to end.

"I wanna give you one point, too, about winning. Winning is a thing that is inherent with how you were raised. It’s something you carry with you for a lifetime. And to pretend that it’s brought or deposited at a place and left, it is not. It is always carried with the participants of the people that are there. Period. Just, in discussion"

I know you guys think this is all enlightening to us simple folk here on the Lil' SRant, but you're forgetting the actual masses of smartasses who told you what you didn't want to hear FIRST.

Ring a bell? LSU is just another fair to spare team and has been for many a moon.

Now, suck it all up, Penisbuttercup.

Les is a fricking idiot, and was too dense and too stubborn to do anything about that plodding glacier of an offense. I agree with you 100% that he definitely lost his edge and see no sense in continuing to bang yalls head against the wall. The 'mad hatter' whose tenacity helped yall win games had become an intransigent sterile little bitch. Seemed like he was just spinning his wheels there.

How do you lose with Fournette and a good defense?

Mind blown.

Everything you posted in your OP is everything rival fans have been telling you since 2008.

It took you eight years to finally accept reality.

First of all, you actually knowing anything about anything is not something I'm too worried about. It Saban had not come to Alabama, you'd still be getting excited about a 10 win season and thinking back on the days of the Bear. Saban was a game changer. Enjoy it. His being at Alabama doesn't make your life any better.

Secondly, whatever LSU was before is irrelevant. To say that the 1970s or 1990s guarantees results today is just stupid, on every front. Nothing you say here makes any sense, but you think it does. That says a lot about you.

The Decline? You guys started with that in January of 2007. Les won 100 games after that, a national title, and 2 SEC titles. Great prediction! You win!

He was finished and had no answers. He wasn't going to see 10 wins again. Not any time soon. So, whatever you think about LSU is irrelevant. They will be in better shape going forward with an average coach than they would be with the Les Miles of 2016. It isn't 2007 anymore. Les has no answers.

No one cares.

He goes 44-9 from 2010-2013 which was the most wins during a 4 year period in LSU history. So, I'm not sure what you predicted? That one day Les would not win 11 games a year on average anymore?

Way to go! Great prediction!!!

Yeah. It really has. And so has Les Miles. He is much worse at basic things than he was 8 years ago. He's getting older. Maybe he's lost his edge?

Say whatever you want about him. He won a lot of games for a long time.

Now you're saying he was never any good while also saying LSU should not have fired him because LSU can never be any good?

This freaking troll board has lost its mind. But, whatever makes you feel better.
