Former LSU football coach Les Miles flew to Twin Cities Wed. and is meeting with Univ. of Minnesota officials, sources tell @120Sports.

Just another elite coach to our ascending conference.

I hope he gets it. It'd be fun to see him piss in Meyers Cheerios some more.

He's a great man, hope he gets the job.

Also I'm genuinely curious: how are you going on 32,000 posts on this board as a Michigan supporter? Is that counting posts somewhere else as well? If not, how is this possible you would spend so much time on an SEC board?

A few things

1) LSU is my second favorite CFB team

2) The poliboard is amazing on this website.

"Ascending conference"

The Big Ten's 3-7 bowl record says otherwise. Still top heavy as frick with a few grossly overrated historical powers

Chances of that: very slim

But there is something poetic about him leading the Golden Gophers

Isn't the word "castoffs" in your vocabulary?

At least he'll be in position to take over at Michigan when Harbaugh crashes and burns. Now that Saban's not at Michigan State, Les might even have some success.

I doubt Les would have the benefit of having top 10 recruiting classes there.Les is a good guy and very entertaining, but I believe he'd have very average to below average results there.

That's just my opinion and no slap to Miles or that program.I think Les should go to the Gameday show and enjoy retirement...

I agree. Medical marijuana is legal there, so it would be a good fit....

Would not surprise me if he's offered that job. If he really wants to coach again, he might take it.

I wish Les the best if he does Coach again. He is a good football Coach and quality man!
And as to your "ascending conference", he would certainly help it. You need all the help you can get. When you look up, you are train the SEC, ACC, and the Pac 12. You have a long and winding road! fraught with the impossible task of ever being the best in football!
