him to be something like, the highest paid coach in the conference or nation. Anyway, is that still the case?
And if so, how much bank does LSU have because CNS' new contact from Alabama will probably send shockwaves around the country.

no he only gets that bump when he wins the BCS title but yes that clause is still in there.

Nick had the same deal when he was here. I think his salary was doubled after we won the BCSCG in 2003.

ETA: we have just as much money as Bama so yeah I'm sure we would be able to

He is being paid according to the going market rate for a BCS and SEC Championship coach. LSU won't be giving him a new contract anytime soon regardless of what Bama does I wouldn't think.

What's the deal with the AD seeking price increases? That just for stadium construction?

Les just got a new contact last year to $4.3 mill/year which was deserved but no he probably won't get another bump without some more hardware.

we have the lowest ticket prices as far as the big 6 goes so why not? The cost of competition is always going up and we have a waiting list for season tickets.

What's so funny? Alabama has had a successful run but they're not Texas or Ohio State in terms of money.

Man, Alleva is so full of shite.

He claims that the Athletic Department will finish in the red this year if they don't jack up traditions fees, and he had the wisdom to announce that after we put 70k in the stadium for an SEC game.

Why I am completely baffled that Sumlin got a new deal after 2 years with nothing better than a 3rd place finish in the West.

im not but that's pretty much the only team that could lol at LSU's Athletic Department moneywise. I guess Ohio State would be another.

You didn't understand his point. He brought up Texas in comparison of an example school with superior money not alluding to the "Saban to TX" rumors.

i think it's Texas, Ohio State, probably Notre Dame and USC.

Then there's your Floridas, LSU's, BAMA's, UGA's, etc. etc.
