Eh, getting rid of Muschamp was pretty much the best decision Florida has made in a while. Miles was riding the waves of previous success, but if we had Fournette we would easily win every game we played.

The guy is just not that good of a coach.

It's not a big deal because y'all know we're happy and the only troll you rejects have concocted is that we're scared the new coach will not be as good, a near impossibility.

He's really just a QB away from a title most years.

Like any team who has Fournette. That's not saying anything. How many years has there been a consistent quarterback? Or even a developed quarterback at LSU?

He had to go. LSU needs new blood, someone with more drive.

He had to go last year. Nothing changed in the last four games.

Nothing's changed for a while. He just seems unwilling and flat. Anyone who actually follows LSU football knows it -- again, we had a very similar situation with Muschamp, although Muschamp sucked way more.

But no one seemed to know about it until way, way later.

I think we learned a lot tonight about how LSU sees themselves. They're not just proud of being the 11th greatest program of all time or whatever. They actually think they are supposed to be the bar none greatest, dominating all competition throughout all history and that just bad luck and Les Miles have held them back from their true rightful place. Now they think making this change is finally going to unleash the real LSU that should've been there forever. They really believe that. I finally get it. This explains their constant insane frustration and negativity through the years and why they expect everyone to be scared.

I'm not sure even I understood it til I read this. I am a little scared though. But not in the immediate future.

Yeah man, LSU fans are so crazy seeing that LSU has the talent pool and resources to be capable of being a championship caliber world beater team with the right coach that challenged Saban and Bama with credibility and they're so crazy thinking Les Miles was just clearly not getting it done with his refusal to adapt to the changing landscape of college football.

They're so crazy expecting to be the best and wanting to be the best.

Saban has always said LSU was a sleeping giant with potential for greatness when he was coming to LSU in the early 2000s.

That is a true statement.

I understand what it looks like, and while I agree that the decision is a pretty bold/aggressive one, but consider how they've been recruiting. They've had a top ten recruiting class almost every year, and they're beating MSST by 3 when South Alabama beat Mississippi State.

They are for fricking certain destroying Auburn in recruiting. Really, they're crushing everyone recruiting wise and they're still getting the same, pathetic results.

If you consistently get top ten classes, and consistently can't compete against lesser talent and resources, time to get rid of the HC.

Only a few guys can truly awaken a sleeping giant. And keep them awake.

Get out of here with all your nuance and logic.

Les Miles was handed the keys to a fully loaded Ferrari and he turned it into a base model Toyota Corolla over the past 4 years.

You accept that it takes a hell of coach to tune that thing back up? And you look at Texas, USC and realize it can still get much worse? And that the odds are long on landing an elite tier coach?
