In the entire storied history of the SEC, there have only been three running backs to rush for over 1,000 yards in every single year of their careers. All three played three seasons before turning pro.

Herschel Walker
Darren McFadden
Alex Collins

Fournette looks to join this group and avoid injury in what is likely his final season before turning pro.

Fournette is an absolute beast and im interested to see how D coordinators try to stop him this time around. How many of the LSU oline returns?

I imagine seeing 8-9 in the box on the reg till proven we can and will move the ball consistently enough through the air to make someone respect something in our offense other than ground and pound

We have a winner. LSU will kick hell out of the teams that aren't very physical on their schedule and unless he is injured Fournette will rush for a bajillion yards.

The question is how will they hold up later in the season when they run into the double whammy of Arkansas and Alabama?

While the Tide has a lot more talent then Arkansas they are both physical teams that are very in your face.

If LSU can throw the ball well against both teams I think they have an excellent chance of winning and a great chance of taking the West with Fournette being in competition for the Heisman.

Michael Dyer would've been on the list if he didn't get kicked off Auburn's team. TJ Yeldon was also very, very close.

Agreed. He was never the same running back after missing so much time. I watched him some at Louisville, but he was never nearly as good. He could've been drafted and got some definite NFL playing time if he wasn't such a moron.

I dont under stand how he could have worked his entire life to get to that point then to totally throw it away at the last second. I cant imagine how many days in his life he was up early, lifting weights or working out to get to that point.

Its like running a marathon and just quitting 10 yards from the finish line

3 fulltime starters and 5 others with at least one SEC start.

If LSU can throw the ball this year, then it's Tennessee and LSU battling for the playoff spot.
