His family took out loans to pay the 160K premium.

Good for him, look forward to watching him bowl over DBs this season. A great football player and even better person

I think the schools should be able to pay for that considering he is forced to come back.

He'd be a fool not to do it.

Certainly seems like it. The biggest issue I can remember is the Heisman pose. Which every team would love to have a great player, and that's the biggest red flag.

It took a few dozen posts, but you finally said something today that wasn't stupid.

Here's hoping they splurged for the 31 yard clause.

He's not forced to do anything of the sort. He can go sit by that patch of dirt at the interstate ramp and watch his old HS teammates play for the next year if he wants.

Colleges were allowed to contribute funds to help pay for the policies. I also know Emmert was looking to CAP those contributions back in 2014. Not sure what the rules are today.

Wise young man. I hope he is totally injury free this season. I can't wait to see him in the NFL.

He would be better off taking a year off and preparing for the NFL.

So true. He'll get another 300 carries this year and leave college at around 800 attempts. Body is going to have some wear

Its true and I'm not even trolling. It won't hurt his draft status.

Meh, all of our backs go into the league with plenty of wear and they do fine (minus Richardson but that's another story).
