Legion Field would have been the perfect spot to host USCe and LSU

It's about halfway between the two schools. They're not using it for football this season. It's the home of the SEC.

And maybe 5 people would go. The way it is now, USCe will get much more money. Having it there would have made no sense.

I'd go to that game in a heartbeat. There are actually a pretty decent number of LSU fans in Birmingham/Alabama. Not sure about USC fans. I agree with you though.

About a 6 hour drive from BRLA.

USC is going to get the money from this game. Even if only 70k people show up, its better than a few hundred.

There'd be a decent crowd if it were at Legion Field as long as it didn't interfere with the Bama game at 6. There are a lot of LSU fans in Bham, and a lot of college football fans in general. Not saying it'd sell out, but if they kicked at 11, it'd be over 50% capacity and I'd guess close to 80%.

I think they would have a very large local turnout, if for no other reason than to marvel at 4nette.

It's been a dump for a long time now, but it's not nearly as bad as it's made out to be. The area around it can get scary for white people scared of their own shadow, but even it's not that bad.

That's what makes it special. It's about playing in a historical stadium that only USCe will usually have the opportunity to play in.

Well accommodating 10's of thousands of people takes more than just a venue. Concessions, parking, traffic control, etc all need to be in line for such an event. Having the game somewhere that isn't prepared is not a good idea no matter how convenient it is to the supposed home team. Tiger Stadium and BR are in full operational mode for football and is the no brainer decision.
