Leaked info: Ole Miss contingency plan: Watson Brown

Though most Rebels believe that the result of the NCAA probe will be loss of a few scholarships at worst, the rumblings are that the Rebel brass has nonetheless prepared a contingency plan if there is a "worst case" type of scenario that results in a cleaning of house.
That contingency plan is Watson Brown. Brown would be head coach but also Athletic Director, as he has served as AD at institutions such as Rice and saw them flourish under his vision and leadership.
Again, my sources have reiterated this is unlikely to come to fruition. But if need be, it'll be Watson hour.

I liked Watson Brown when he was our OC under Sherrill. Then he left and his career kind of spiraled downward. He should have stayed with Tha Kang.
Rice and Miss are about the same size. Neither the predominant school in their state but not the worst either. Seems like a natural fit.

Yes, interesting observation. One of the first times that UAT tried to sabatoge the UAB football program out of fear is when they vetoed Jimbo Fisher as the replacement for Watson Brown and forced the geriatric Neil Calloway on UAB

Look, it may not be at Ole Miss, in fact I'm sure ole Freezus will be leading the Rebels for years to come. But, mark my words, Watson Brown will coach SEC ball again. I think you'll find that more than a few ADs are keeping their eye on him during his supposed "retirement." The man has property in Tuscaloosa. Just saying.
