Your answer is found in the first half of the rule. The foul they called didn't immediately stop the clock. Therefore, no 10 second run off, clock starts on the ref's signal

Thanks! I have read this over and over and coming up to the same conclusion. I figured something this egregious would have caused quite a stir if the ruling was in error and I had to be missing something...

You mean these written words from the 2016 NCAA CFB Rulebook... I have been waiting for someone to explain this to me. I am sure I have overlooked something.
yes, you overlooked the criteria that needed to be met for those rules to apply

With the game clock running and less than one minute remaining in either half, before a change of team possession if either team commits a foul that causes the clock to stop immediately, the officials may subtract 10 seconds from the game clock at the option of the offended team.

Lol at LSU fans complaining about that last play. There were MULTIPLE penalties on LSU on that play alone. The officials essentially gave y'all an extra TO and you still couldn't get lined up correctly.

I started this same tread a few days ago on the rant and I was attacked. Good luck and fwiw you are correct.

No he isn't. He's as blind or dumb as you. Watch the chains and don't pay attention to the yellow line. The yellow line is not official.

I honestly hope you are just old, retired and not quite as sharp as you were in your younger days. If so I will excuse you and hope I also live a long happy retirement.

I'm not even going to entertain the thought you are some CEO with nothing to do at work but post on the rant.

Maybe Viagra and a crack whore would get your mind off this place.

LINK

Starts at about 34 minute mark.

Running play giving auburn first down and 10 at 12-13 yard line

1st snap was a run to the 9
2nd snap was a run to the 7
3rd snap was a run down to the 4
4th snap resulted in the White sack
5th snap was successful FG attempt

This has everything to do with 1. The incompetent SEC officials and office and 2. The incompetent LSU coaching staff for not seeing this

Two incompetents are sort of like double negatives.

Dude, LSU fans like you is what causes fans like us to laugh at LSU fans.

Like you.

First down and 10 at the 28. You see the run down to the 20.

2nd and 2 from the 20. We see the run down to the 12-13. Results in a 1st and 10.

1st and 10 (first snap) and marked at the 13. As you see, it was a run that went down to about the 9.

Here is 2nd down (second snap) from the 9 year line. Play ended at about the 6-7 yard line.

Here is third snap, as shown from the 7 yard line. Play was a run that ended at about the 4 yard line.

Snap number 4 from the 4 yard line. Ended in a sack

Fifth snap ending in successful field goal attempt.

OK I see. In a nutshell, 2 and 7 turned into 2 and goal because espn was messed up. First and goal occured at the 9 yard line. There was no 1st and and 10 from the 13. They used to always say the yellow line isn't official. Well it turns out the espn scorecard in the bottom right corner isn't official either.

You are obviously scared of LSU running roughshod over the SEC with Herman in the driver's seat, which is why you desperately want a non-existent call changed so LSU can win and Miles will still be the coach.

Stop being such a pussy. Accept your new LSU overlords.
