Layne's (established in 1994) serves the exact same things Cane's does, but does a better job in all regards. Toast. Sauce. Chicken. Fries. All better.

Never heard of Laynes
I've had Cane's and Zaxbys. Both are really close but the chicken edge goes to Cane's.

It's a College Station place. They have 3 locations now in a town with only 100k (give or take) people.

Bojangles Cajun Filet biscuit with a side of Bo Rounds and either honey mustard or bbq sauce is amazing. Their dirty rice is awesome too. The closest Cane's to me is in Mt. Pleasant which is about 90 miles away.

Well I would do tacos, but we all know Texas is going to absolutely destroy all of you at that. The worst tasting tacos in Texas are still better than the best tacos in Mississippi.
