With Lane Kiffin now at the helm and Sims leading Bama at QB, how much different will this game be when compared to last year?

I have only see Bana play West Virg and Florida and they did look good. The secondary could have done better against WVU and I think I saw some turnovers against FL. But otherwise they were solid.

I have watched each Ole Miss game and our secondary is pretty sick but Dline could be better. I am still slightly worried about our ability to run the ball or stop a strong rushing attack.

I've rewatched last years Bama Ole Miss game and it reminded me of our Boise/Memphis games so far, stifling defense but we could not score once inside the opponents 30. Bama I believe had 3 forced fumbles, Yeldon, TE, and another but all were recovered. Ole miss opted to go for it on 4th down 3 times in Bamas red zone instead of kicking FG.

At half score was 9 - 0. Early in 3rd q Yeldon busted off 80 yard run and 16 0 until 5:35 in 4th.

I don't know if our offense is going to score much considering how we have looked on O so far. I believe the defense is better overall than last year but Bamas O is better as well.

I think it might still be 13-3 or 17-10 midway through 3rd, Bama leading.

Anyone else watch both teams play? And your thoughts? You can catch last years full game on youtube if you care to.

TL:DR

Does last years game give a blueprint for this season? If yes why? If not why?

I think it will be a close game. If Blake Sims has the same success he enjoyed in his first floor games, I like our chances. We have not run the ball between the tackles well at all and that is definitely troublesome. I liked our pass defense last week especially our pass rush but it was Driskel so who knows. This game is a toss up and proud to the Florida game I believe most fans on this site thought this would be one of 2 or 3 losses.

Yep - it'll be worse this year. Bama's O is better than last year.

If Bo can come out and get in rhythm early (first couple of series), we have a chance. If he doesn't get in rhythm early, then he never will, and this will be a repeat of 2013.

This is Bama's first true road game - we'll see how Sims and a frosh LT hold up in a hostile environment.

Last year's game has little bearing on this game.

I actually like our chances better if it's loud as frick and we are forced to go no-huddle (not hurry-up, though). We seem to do better when that is the case, much less confusion.

Kirby Smart has said something similar in the past about how he enjoys playing on the road because the crowd is quiet when we are on defense.
