That beating we took from Alabama was something I'd like to forget.

Only game we truly got destroyed under Shula that I can remember was when LSU beat us 28-3, Saban got so pissed when Shula kicked a FG.

Historically, Miss State has played Bama tough because we used to actually have a defense. Saban has beaten MSU by 30 twice, the other in a 38-7 game. I don't recall another Bama coach in my lifetime that did that. He is the best coach in college football and maybe the greatest ever.

It's weird, we just never get blown out...even when we suck. There have been a lot of games that were over in the first few minutes but we made it somewhat respectable in the second half.

2003 UGA/Alabama comes to mind. Was basically the exact opposite of 2008.

That was the very first Music City Bowl, played at Vanderbilt on their old turf and it was basically a sheet of ice.

Then Virginia Tech ram-rodded us up and down the field.

Ah yes, the game Shula wasn't going to play Brodie then decided to stick him in after it was clear UGA was going to decapitate whoever played QB and proceeded to decapitate Brodie on basically his 1st play from scrimmage.

A few weeks later the same thing happened in Oxford.

Gross.

Given our inept offensive line play and historically bad defense if you didn't beat us by a couple of TDs last year its time to clean out your coaching staff.

Even when we have been bad, the floor isn't as low as it is for everyone else.
