Gonna get my popcorn ready because I love shows like this, but the title should be 2nd Chance U. Technically they are trying to get into an FBS school as their likely last chance.

Looks like EMCC also has some talent off the field

Do they talk about how the head coach oversigns players and then cuts them right after school starts so they can't transfer?
Or how he brings in more than the allotted 8 out of state players and if they don't make the cut he "hides" the remaining until the next year?
The JUCO league in Mississippi is not policed very well. Rules are constantly broken and nothing is done. The discipline for the fight is one of the first I've seen in a while because it was unavoidable.
The whole JUCO system here went downhill after they opened up the recruiting districts. It's an arms race now among the JUCOs. Large separation between the haves and have nots. Used to not be that way.
Oh, and EMCCs coach is the biggest piece of shite of a coach that you could ever have the displeasure of meeting.

They should have done this on Pearl River CC in the early 2000's. I played for Buddy and William Jones there, we were by far the best college football team in the state of MS . It would be nothing to have NFL teams to come watch practice or Randy Shannon from MIAIM interrupt defensive meetings. It wasn't what you call a place of high character but we kicked arse

He wasn't the head coach when I was at PRCC but we'd have about 18 guys from FL alone that they'd transfer legal guardianship of and give them in state residence for the summer. If there were good enough they made the team if not they were sent back to wherever they came in the fall. They'd also have them enroll as regular students and use the pell grant money from other players to cover their tuition and board. We never had to take a piss test either. I agree that Buddy is one of the worst coaches I've ever met and he isn't that good all, he's just running Tim Hattens old playbook

A kid from my school (many years behind me) went to EMCC. He wound up as a receiver in the Big-10.

She's trying to advise him to make better decisions. He thinks he's just getting some arse but just as easy he can get accused of rape domestic violence etc. Plus as the coach mentioned girls aren't allowed in the dorms it's a $300 fine

Makes Franklin look like a punk arse. Shame he left FSU; seems like he fit in well there

I'm amazed at the fact they have like 5 different helmets (black, white, red, light grey, dark gray) and seem to wear a different uniform every game

I'm 2 episodes in and completely enthralled by it. It's like Friday night lights meets HBO

just started watching and a guy I played with in high school is one of the players that dumps the gatorade on him at the five minute mark
Had two good friends play for them from 2012-2014 and won a national title.
