In SEC games:

In 14 SEC games Laquon has only 1 game with 100+ receiving yards. Yes that is correct only 1. In those 14 games he averages 55 yards/gm and .28 TD/gm. Also has -9 rushing yards in those 14.

What a weapon!

Meanwhile...

(Better) Josh Reynolds 71 yards/gm + 1.14 TD/gm

(Better) Pharoh Cooper 92 yards/gm + 1 TD/gm + 2 rush TD

There are several others...Malachi Dupre...Duke Williams

There is zero argument supporting Laquon being the clear cut #1 receiver. Zero

Stats!

I'd take LT over all them. Most NFL ready college receiver ever his first year at OM.

Perhaps you should tell this to every NFL scout that's seen him play. I'm sure they don't know more than you though.

Hey while we're at it. Graham Harrell is the greatest quarterback in college football history. Stats back it up.

I'm a huge fan of the prove your worth principle. Still, there's no reason for this thread. Treadwell is being hyped because of his enormous natural abilities. You have watched him play, right? There's hype but you must be hanging around on OM boards or something because I haven't seen anything so massive and overreaching that it requires a rebuttal thread.

Personally, I just hope he comes back in previous form. It would suck to lose any explosive playmaker capable of giving us highlight reels, regardless of team.

LT won't even be the best WR on his team this year.

I'm assuming this is in response to Mel Kiper listing him as his #1 WR.

When talking about the best WR in the league, you can't leave out these two guys.

Ah. I guess that would do it. I'm not sure why, but whenever somebody posts a stat comparison thread trying to denigrate a great football player, I always picture compulsive weepy thumb-sucking while typing one a giant rubber keypad. It's weird.

He had a huge game against Auburn that everyone remembers - primarily because he had that awful injury that cost them the game.

I've been very vocal about the undeserved hype of Robert Nkemdiche, but Treadwell is an almost identical situation. 5* recruit, #1 at his position - and nobody knows why he's not producing.

So they pretend he is and hype him because they know his name and the stigma of the recruiting hype.

Sad.

He gets a lot of hype because of his talent not his stats. I don't think very many people will argue that he is the best WR because of his stats, it's because of his God given talent that he gets a lot of hype. Do you really think he doesn't have the talent to back up the hype? Do you really think he will not get drafted in the first round?

He only has 4 TD in 14 career SEC games.

Do I expect him to go to the NFL and suddenly be good against seasoned NFL corners? Hell no
