Not an unusual thing is it? Or is it just that it's more of a Don't Ask, Don't Tell type of thing?

said that the center was not able to snap the ball a couple days leading into the game so they shot him before the UCLA game so that he could play.

On his show he says the center wasn't able to take snaps so the shot him up in the locker room before the game to get him on the field

They already lost their starting center for the season. The guy they have now is a walkon. UT is VERY thin on the OL and almost all of them graduate this year. The barn is also thin on the OL.

I'll bet NO other head college coach in the nation would admit to doing this on TV

The Barn's O-line is a strength for them this year. Are you saying they have no depth? I don't know about depth but their starters are good.

Well they looked good against La Tech and MSU. Get back to us when they play a team with a defense.

He is not wise in his choice of words. Substitute "received medical treatment" for "shot up" and it would fly under the radar.

Maybe the team will take a stand against coach Kilmer,I mean Kiffen, and walk out on him."If that needle comes anywhere close to him,I'll rip off you arms" said Billy Bob from Varsity Blues.Pan to the shot of Kiffen in his office polishing his trophies, the one's he had from when he played in High School. Story book stuff...choked up....very deep, man.

Whether this wrong or right would depend on the injury, whether the player had a choice and wasn't manipulated into it, and whether he was given good medical direction from a physician. The medicine was undoubtedly a corticosteroid to reduce inflammation and pain. It probably was not a narcotic.

I didn't listen to it but I will say that the way it comes off from your descriptions is him saying "we're tough, we play when injured" and reeks of short man syndrome. No reason to mention such a thing for public knowledge.
