The jersey worn by LSU Tigers running back Leonard Fournette sold for a record $101,000 on Monday.
It became the highest price paid for a game-used college football jersey in an Internet auction, surpassing the price paid Friday by the winning bidder of a game-used Georgia jersey of Frank Sinkwich, who won the Heisman Trophy in 1942. That jersey sold for $31,070.
Going into Monday, bidding for the Fournette jersey had reached $40,000, but at least two people were willing to pay more than double that amount by the auction's end.

The funds will be earmarked for victims of the flood in South Carolina, which forced the Gamecocks to move their Oct. 10 home game to Baton Rouge.
The helmets were included, too.

Damn that's like $3k per yard, isn't it?

If I had a crystal ball, I'd bet everything I own that LF7 or his family or both is getting some kind of cut of this sale.

What is the market value of a game used Heisman Henry jersey?
