UGA fans have been arguing with LSU fans on who the better running back is. I still like Chubb (Homer) but I have to hand it to Fournette....he really showed out Saturday. I think LSU fans will look back on this Auburn game and see it as a launching pad of greatness from Fournette. He did everything one would ask for in a running back. Several of his runs were epic and a beauty to behold.
As I said, I still prefer Chubb, but I also admit I am prejudiced. Fournette is the real deal and is looking very, VERY good. He has to be considered the Heisman front runner at this point in the season.
Would love to see Chubb and Fournette face off in Atlanta at the end of the season. It would be a great matchup.

Chubb/Fournette is a modern day Herschel/Bo
People will argue for decades over who was the best

I was at the game. Have not seen a RB like him since Bo and Hershell. Had flashbacks.
Will watch LSU as much as possible. Geaux Tigers, pulling for you guys.

Arguing has never changed the truth .

except that they won't "match up" against each other....always overplayed. But, your point is taken. Chubb is great. I don't know why it's always "who is the best"...type deals. They are different backs....but both have great attributes. At the game Saturday, people from Auburn were telling us that they haven't seen a rb like that since Bo Jackson...that's quite an endorsement. If you are being objective....I don't know how you can pick against LF. He has it ALL. Tremendous power, allusiveness, speed, and now his vision is coming around.....very, very, rare to have it all like that....thus the Bo Jackson/Walker type comparisons.

I just appreciate how humble each of these young men are. All they talk about is team. Very refreshing.

It's certainly going to be fun watching these two over the next couple of years. We've got it good! Props to Nick Chubb

They are both players that college football fans can just watch and enjoy, rivalries aside.

LF was amazing and showed the nation what we have been watching since he was a freshman in high school. The SEC has many very good RBs and LF is at the top of the list along with Chubb.
Enjoy the season..........

What I enjoy most (as someone else alluded to) is the lack of a "Big Head".
I'm not terribly familiar with Chubb as a person, but what I see of LF is always very humble.
Here is to watching and enjoying both! They are great college players now, and I hope they progress to being a great professionals as well.
Kudos to both of them for all the hard work.

This is the attitude that fans from both teams, and to be honest fans of football in general, should take.
What you're seeing is greatness from two fantastic backs. Just enjoy the show.

I saw a stat today that 19 of his runs were broken tackles. NINETEEN. So either he's the best RB in college football at breaking tackles or Auburn was really bad at tackling.
Nonetheless, the kid does look like a beast.

It is the former, he broke a lot of tackles against MSU as well, in the first half at least. I'll be honest I felt a lot better about our defense after seeing LF destroy Auburn. I thought, hey we held him to only 150 or so yards.

Agreed, its semantics arguing which one is better at this point. They have different styles and do different things well, but at the end of the day they both are the best at their position in the nation.

Here's to both staying healthy
