he was grossly overrated
Saban made him, and his defense was shredded by teams with potent offenses.
tOSU,OU,Clemson,etc He was clueless on how to stop them.
I hope he pays Nick a large portion of his contract, because Saban is the reason he got the gig, his defensive coaching was overrated

We upgraded to a much better coach off the Saban coaching tree so it looks like we dodged misery this time.

I think the opposite...I believe smart is the only coach on sabans tree that has his complete book of secrets. I think he was a slam dunk hire. Will have a NC in 3 years minimum

Kirby is a high IQ guy with the best working knowledge of the best process in college football and a Georgia Alum to boot.
