Plain and Simple. Munson was the GOAT.
"I never saw the rabbit."
"I never saw the rabbit."

Back when it was the WLOCP and people liked it that way.

Back before the Gators sucked the life out of the series by winning 21 of 26.
I'll be there Saturday, I'll be the one in blue.
Go Gators!

Dooley owned the Gators. He just owned them.

I can't believe Harris actually beat some SEC teams. He was so bad.

The first 50 years of the series belonged to UG. The last 50 belongs to UF. I would rather have sucked the first 50 than the last, i guess. How long before yall get good again?

Nobody better. Loved the Dawgs but let them have it when they deserved it. The very best combination for an announcer.

Florida won 13 of 14 from 1990 through 2003, but from 2004 to now it's a 7-5 series.
The last 12 years have been one of the most even 12 year stretches of the series all time.
The dominance really ended 13 years ago, nobody wants to acknowledge it because it makes a better plot line.

Yeah I find it pretty amusing that UF fans constantly want to use 1990 as their starting point. Gee, I wonder why? As if what spurrier did against friggin ray goff and donnan have absolutely any bearing on right now.

I remember catching the last half of this game. Georgia put a beatdown on Spurrier like he hadn't seen.
That 1997 team was without a doubt the worst team Spurrier ever had. They played one good game against FSU (actually it was all Jacquez green).
Had the SEC been up to the SEC today Florida would have been 6-6. Doug Johnson was not Danny Wuerffel.

The series has traditionally been dominated in increments of 20 or so years by each team.
Georgia dominated from 1904 (or 1915 by Florida's books) to about 1948.
Florida dominated from 1949 to about 1968ish.
Georgia dominated from about 1969ish to 1990.
Florida dominated from 1990 to 2003.
2004 to now is 7-5. Like I said, one of the most even stretches ever. TON of close games in this stretch too.

Another great subplot of that era. Add Robert Edwards to that.
We wasted a shitload of great talent during those years.
Zeier in the early 90s too.

Plus some monster defensive linemen and tight ends.

This is the only reason that Georgia still leads the series.
UG went 21-4-1 over those early years from 1915 till 1949. UF has led the series in wins since 1950.
