Kirby Smart & Georgia set for a big year

This season is shaping up a lot like Alabama's 2008 season, IMO. Returning a team who has bought in during the off season, & returning starters at key positions from a team that was lacking top end talent in leadership roles from the previous year. Similar to Alabama - who had no players drafted following the 2007 season, Georgia had only one player drafted following last season.
And, of course, year two of a coaching tenure.
Let's take a look at other second year head coach performances at major universities:
Coach (previous year's record) Year two results
Bob Stoops (7-5) 13-0, Big 12 Champs, National Champs
Pete Carroll (6-6) 11-2, Pac-10 Co-Champs, Orange Bowl Win
Nick Saban (8-4) 10-3, SEC Champs, Sugar Bowl Win
Nick Saban (7-6) 12-2, SEC West Champs, Sugar Bowl Loss
Mark Richt (8-4) 13-1, SEC Champs, Sugar Bowl Win
Urban Meyer (9-3) 13-1, SEC Champs, National Champs
Gene Chizik (8-5) 14-0*, SEC Champs*, National Champs*
Phillip Fulmer (9-3) 10-2, SEC East Co-Champs, Citrus Bowl Loss
Steve Spurrier (9-2) 10-2, SEC Champs, Sugar Bowl Loss
Bobby Petrino (8-4) 11-1, CUSA Champs, Liberty Bowl Win
Chip Kelly (10-3) 12-1, Pac 10 Champs, National Championship Loss
Dan Mullen (5-7) 9-4, Gator Bowl Win
Jim Tressel (7-5) 14-0, Big 10 Champs, National Champs

Many salty pricks will come here to say that UGA sucks because they can't deal with the fact that we could be great.

If Kirby doesn't win the east this year, with Chubb returning. Will not be good for him

For sure you could be great, your schedule is easily doable for great success on the year. I think '18 will be the year he either makes or breaks though.

We might have one. There's some recent history of true freshmen OL being very good.

It has been bad. He should have not let it be the only one without a picture. Would have been less obvious.

Georgia is my pick to win the East.

Besides the obvious trolls, I don't think anyone is saying UGA is going to suck this year

My question is how are you certain the pricks are salty?
I'm guessing you taste tested each one.

I'm not worrying about it until Kirby shows me he's screwing up with HC experience. I expect us to go 9-3 or 10-2 and win the east. We are returning 10/11 of our #15 ranked D from 2016 and our whole offense is returning minus 3 o-lineman (have good talent coming in) and IMac. He also brought in the #3 class and just got the #1 RB and is in play for fields.
DSOR will be a classic if our teams live up to the hype

Not sure what you mean by that. It's statistically correct, I believe.
ETA: #16 actually. He was way off.
