Lane Kiffin: Coach and I spent some time together last night and this morning...I think I thought (two jobs) would be easier than it was.

Kiffin: I don't think we played well. I thought, 'Was I really there?'

Kiffin: As we discussed it...Sark and I were so similar...he would probably give us the best chance to win because his mind would be on game

Kiffin: It's best for the players that Sark call this game.

Has there been a legit reason yet?

Let's see if he burns any bridges.
If he's smart, he'll say very little.

We already know the answer to this.
This should be the most entertainment that boring arse show ever produced.

This won't come out for years, if it ever does. Something bad had to happen, not even Saban fires his OC a week before the championship.

He's not going to say much.

Best thing he could possibly say: "I am so grateful to have been able to coach at Alabama, and to Nick Saban for giving me the opportunity. I am proud of what we accomplished over the last three years and I will be cheering for my boys to take home another national championship."
Every word he says beyond that is a mistake and just a potential for disaster. If he is truly ready to be a head coach again, he knows this.

Toeing the political line so far.

Basically said him and Saban met, worked on preparation. That he thought he could juggle the two jobs better and he didn't.

And he is taking the self accountability approach. Very mature

Nutshell: Saban is going to run the ball, and it doesn't matter who calls the plays.
