Kevin Sumlin vs. Les Miles

And so a lot of people are still missing the boat on why Les Miles got fired. It had nothing to do with his being 2-2 after 4 games. It was all about his having promised to make changes re his offense and his flagrant thumbing of the nose toward those to whom he'd so promised. It's pretty apparent to me that during this past offseason he decided, "I've got Leonard Fournette. Screw 'em. We're gonna play like it's 1975 and we're gonna win that way and all these dumb arse coonass fans can kiss my arse."
I'm pert certain that if he HAD made changes toward evolving and was yet 2-2 then he would still have his job right now. LSU fans would be saying, "Well, it sucks that we're 2-2, but at least we've lost those 2 games striving to evolve. Let's give Les some time; he'll figure it out."
On the opposite side of this coin we find Kevin Sumlin. The Kevin Sumlin of 2016 and the Kevin Sumlin of 2012 are two completely different entitities. Two different people. Life is change. No changes are permanent, but change is. And all of that. And Kevin Sumlin has fired one offensive and two defensive coordinators in his short tenure at A&M, amongst making all manner of both "drastic" and "subtle" changes. (Another offensive coordinator left to take a head coaching position). He has allowed his philosophies to evolve with no emphasis on pride and no hint of self-assuredness.
And since emotion is the enemy of reason, and pride and self-assuredness are manifestations of emotion, then it is reasonable to aver that Coach Sumlin is the better type of man.

Les Miles is an embarrassingly better coach than Sumlin
At least LSU is trying to be a big time program. A&M resigned to mediocrity decades ago

ETA: And for all the retarded LOLolsu fans, Miles at LSU beat Sumlin 4 times. The 5th was to Sherman. Miles did however lose to Aggy while at OK State. Learn to fact check.

Kevin Sumlin is an Alcoholic and lost every time to Les

Sumlin is a drunk that has assistant coaches degrade women at A&M functions and get into twitter fights with highschool kids.
Enjoy the annual loss to LSU, this time handed down by an interim head coach

miles was 6-0 vs aggie but one was against sherman.
so technically he is still right as we are discussing miles and sumlin not sherman

Aggy has won against Miles. L2Factcheck.
LSU with Miles is 5-0 including the Sherman loss. You are wrong on two accounts.

Sumlin hasn't been able to put up 20 points in his 4 tries against LSU.
2 of those with a Heisman winner

Miles was fired for being 4-5 in his last 9 games, not for being 2-2 this season
You are correct in saying miles was not adapting his approach that was producing declining results
quote:2012 Sumlin won 11 games and blew out a good OU team in a big bowl. Last couple of sumlin teams started hot in September (undefeated) and had losing records outside of it. I'm not anointing sumlin anything quite yet, especially in September
