Drake made some HUGE plays for Bama in his career but he was an overall a very average running back. Surprised he went so high.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

He was excellent his sophomore year besides the fumbling. Didn't seem to trust his leg this past season when running in traffic kept trying to bounce outside. He'll be a steal if he can get over that.

Doubt it, but apparently he was high on the Dolphin's board. When he's not injured, he's shifty as hell, so they could definitely use him as a return man at the very least. Third round seems a bit high, but maybe they're seeing an elevated ceiling that people missed due to his injuries?

Or maybe they just like the name "Kenyan Drake." It has a certain savoir faire.

He had the 2nd highest elusivess rating among RBs in this class according to PFF but yeah injuries have been a bit of a problem for him.

Fumbling issues, injury prone and never carried the load in college. He's fast, but to expect anything other than him being a change of pace or 3rd down back right now is unrealistic. Miami was desperate for a running back after losing Lamar Miller.

He was at a different level before the leg injury. He has yet to fully recover.

He'll line up at WR some and there's always special teams also.

We appreciate your professional scouting report...as usual. By the way, average NFL running backs are a dime a dozen..nobody was "desperate".

He is fast and elusive. I just don't see him going that high. I understand Henry going early, and thought Robinson and especially Ragland could have gone earlier, but I don't see taking what I see as a 3rd down back in the 3rd, though his kick return ability elevated his stock I'm sure.

If the Dolphins are looking for Drake to be their #1 HB by taking him in round 3, they will be sadly mistaken.
