I want to hear your voice in all this hype. What do you think your ceiling is? Any big upsets? Breakout players? I know your coach has you guys trending upward, and I would love to see you guys hit 8 wins or so.

I think most of the UK fans around here think 6 and bowl eligibility is feasible. I haven't seen anyone that isn't an alter really predict more than that, while I do think they could sneak up and get 7. 2007 was the last time they finished with 8 wins (and I believe '84 was the last time they had 9 or better). Contrary to some obsessive rival fan's beliefs, 6 wins in progress given the shape the program was in when Stoops came in.

I don't know that they beat Auburn but it should be a fun one on a Thursday night in Commonwealth. They could get Florida and Louisville.

RB Boom Williams and QB Patrick Towles should be set to have a big season.

Not a UK fan obviously, but I think they're getting slept on quite a bit headed into the year. If they would have managed to pull out 1 more game (UF or Louisville particularly) and make a bowl, there would likely be a much different national outlook on UK headed into the year. Maybe they would even find themselves lumped in with UT and Arky as teams about to make a splash this year. They have an experienced returning QB and some pieces to build around at the skill positions. As it is, their schedule does them no favors, and their defense needs patching up still, but I think they'll continue to progress, make a bowl, and maybe even knock an unsuspecting team off. A 6-6 or 7-5 regular season looks about right for them.

8 would be awesome, but it could be a year premature for that. I'm thinking 6 tor 7 wins could be it. Watch out for Boom Williams this year. He's fixing to be a star.

Kentucky is going to ruin one SEC team's season this year since they will pull of one major upset.

I'll be happy with 6-6 this year but 7-5 would be awesome(which is what I predicted in the season prediction thread but I was being a little optimistic).

Look out for RB Boom Williams who many in the SEC already know. As for who people don't know, true freshman C.J. Conrad will be getting a lot of playing time along with Chris Westry on defense.

The absolute ceiling? Like, if every break went UK's way and every player stayed healthy and played at their highest level every game? Probably 10 wins. I can't see UK beating UGA in Athens or Auburn at home, no matter the circumstances.

That's the ceiling though, and definitely not my expectation. If I'm optimistic, I say UK could win 8 this year. I think 6 wins is probably more realistic. Beat the three cupcakes (ULL, Charlotte, EKU), beat Vandy and win two of Louisville, Florida, Missouri, Mississippi State, Tennessee, or SCAR.

If I had to pick a big upset, I say it might be Missouri at home or SCAR in Columbia. Florida might be trendy, but because everyone is down on UF this year (and relatively up on UK) it might not be a "big" upset, just an upset.

As for breakout players to watch for on the offensive side of the ball:

1. Boom Williams - I'm listing him even though he has at least a few people who can recognize his name. He should be the lead back this year and has the potential to be very special.

2. Dorian Baker - 6'3 210 lb WR who is extremely physical. Was mostly known for knocking the shite out of people (Kendall Beckwith) and getting suspended for a half last season.

3. Jeff Badet - Missed 2014 with an injury, this kid has serious speed and will be a weapon down the field.

On the defensive side of the ball, watch out for:

1. Josh Forrest - Has put on 25 lbs from last season and is now listed at 6'3 255. Has a ton of range for an ILB/MLB prospect and isn't a liability in pass coverage. 1st round athletic potential, but needs to prove he is physical enough in this league.

2. Mike Edwards - rFR SS who would have played as a FR if not for injury. Very good in coverage, very good ball skills. Might not be a starter, but expect him to make plays in backup snaps and on special teams.

3. Denzil Ware - rFR OLB/Jack with a good athletic toolset. Will get early action at Sam replacing Jason Hatcher during a suspension. Look for this guy to be very capable rushing the passer.

I think Kentucky beats Florida this year. If they beat Louisville, they make a bowl and probably win it.

I have you guys beating SCAR , and Mizzou. You'll need a few breaks but it's entirely possible to get 8 wins.

I am the LSU optimist for pumping sunshine. But I think you can do it.

How big of a loss on Defense is it to lose Bud Dupree and Za'Darius Smith as monster pass rushers?

I think they have to get to 6, and I think 7 is possible, but we will have to see how they play obviously. The first 4 games are critical, can't be worse than 2-2 in that stretch.
