...LSU didn't play a terrible game or anything. They played it close with a very talented, if underachieving, team while overcoming the fact that have one of Jeff Dunham's cast-offs at the quarterback position. In other words, an team pretty much like LSU itself. Let's just keep that in mind once the obligatory trolling is finished.

bullshite.
LSU defense just laid an egg that game and Les Miles can't grasp the concept of when you have a player that is hot...you feed him the ball!

LOL. No
LSU has more talent on the sidelines than ND has on the entire team...
No way they should lose that game

Didn't say they didn't make mistakes. Just that this wasn't exactly the total humiliation people will be claiming it is for the next few months.

You can't possibly be serious. The talent and recruiting gap between LSU and ND over the last four years is miniscule at best.

You sure about that?
ND ain't exactly chopped liver talent-wise.
We put the second-most players in the draft last year (after LSU, funnily enough). We've recruited pretty damn well under Kelly and have some legit players, especially on offense.
We were thoroughly outclassed against Alabama two years ago, but we can go toe-to-toe against most of the SEC in that arena.

If Freek doesn't make a GIF of that from a Lucky Charms commercial, I will be very disappointed.

Um...no. Not BS. Go check it out. Just because you don't know much about the wider world of CFB, that doesn't mean you can't at least do some research. Seriously, it's pretty easy to find this information.

I posted in the game thread Miles' call to go for it on 4th down instead of kicking the field goal would come back to haunt them and it did. Had he just kicked the field goal,LSU mighta won. In doing so they cost me
$100.00
$100.00

Bama is the only school in the nation that recruits better than LSU. There are schools that recruit at LSU's level, but ND isn't one of them. ND recruits well, but not in LSU's league. Like you said.........do some research.

And if I had said ND recruits better than LSU, you'd have had a perfect retort. But I didn't.
Here, just so we have numbers to work with:
247 class rankings
2014: LSU #2 ND #11
2013: LSU #6 ND #5
2012: LSU #14 ND #18
2011: LSU #8 ND #9
The substantive difference between the two overall is miniscule. People have an exaggerated idea of how wide the gulf between most 10 or 15 classes really is. Certainly LSU has done better overall, but it's not a glaring difference. ND's problem was never talent -- it was coaching and the fact that they're abominations against nature.

Actually no one is even close to Alabama in recent history.
From 2011 through 2014, Alabama is far and away the best (avg class ranking of 1.0).
Florida is next (in the SEC) in a huge, huge gap back at 6.75.
LSU (8.0), Auburn (8.5), Georgia (9.0), Notre Dame (11.0), Tennessee (14.0), and Texas A&M (14.8) are in the next group back.
Outside of Alabama, the talent gap between ND and the other big SEC programs is virtually nil.

LSU underestimated ND, plain and simple.
