Yep the media is out to get AU and AU reported the discrepancy to the NCAA in order to get their own player ineligible yet ESPN and the Bammer owned media is lying and trying to crucify you guys.

That makes a lot more sense than ND turning in a different transcript.

Crutchfield said the NCAA became aware something was amiss when Auburn officials submitted a transcript to the NCAA Eligibility Center that was different from the one Notre Dame had for the player.

If I'm not mistaking, players do not go through the NCAA clearing house until LOI's have been signed and submitted. Otherwise they would be doing leg work for the same player 10 times over (for shits and giggles), checking his eligibility at every university he is possibly favoring (exaggeration). Why would ND submit a transcript for review on a player that didn't sign with them? I call bullshite!

I don't know who's right and who's wrong and don't really have time to look up all the articles.

But one thing I do know. AU's compliance director is good. He's a former NCAA employee, and if there was any red flag concerning any investigation, this player would not ever be on campus in Auburn. It's just silly to think otherwise.

So all the innunedoes and all the guessing have no impact on what really happened.

I don't know what other schools have.

All I'm saying is why would AU risk any investigation over one player who has already had publicity if everything isn't squeaky clean.

So Bama fans, what I'm getting from your post is disappointment that there will be no Presser @ 4 during which the NCAA lays down the hammer on Auburn and gives us the Death Penalty?

Sorry to let you down . . . Again

I never said this, I said ESPN reporting should be taken with a grain of salt, as they report incorrect stuff all the time, and don’t even try to fix it.

Again, I ask you, not sure why, as you seem to be blinded, why did ND get Jovons final transcript?

Now which makes more sense? A school, who a player is not attending, asking and receiving the final transcript for a player, not going to their school, and sending it in to the NCAA clearing house for approval. Despite the fact that said player is not attending their school, nor did he sign a LOI to that school

or

An article written by a "news" agency who runs with info acquired from random internet sources all the time, and has been known to "report" incorrect info all the time. As I noted before as well, why is the "info" not in quotation if they gathered the info or if he actually said that directly?

jeez, dude it happens, jovon had interest in Notre Dame as mentioned in MANY articles. from one article...."Florida State, Georgia and Penn State are among those that have offered Robinson, with Notre Dame and USC showing interest." It's more than easy for a school to get a copy of your transcripts. Maybe Notre Dame had his transcripts and saw he was ineligible the saw where he was signing with a D1 school and that raised a red flag. Get over it.

Yes, very possible. I've had 2 kids to scholarship and we've sent MANY transcripts. Actually ,eventhough we were shown alot of interest, we never got a firm offer UNTIL the school saw our official transcripts.

that is the final transcript, but in your senior year a college can tell now from your official transcript if there is going to be issues qualifying. Deny and deflect all you want. I assure you he has sent his transcripts to other schools besides au. Your arguement makes NO sense. It has already been established that his transcripts had already been sent to atleast one or two schools.

You know, except for the fact, that the discrepancy in grades was noted in May, after he already signed his LOI, which would make it his final transcript, in which ND wouldn't have.

quote:

Responding to questions from Kyle on June 20, the teacher said he believed that he entered the 70 on May 4, then discovered on May 17 that it had been changed to a 76. He said he changed it back to a 70 that day.
