John Pelphrey era may be nearing its end.

"Today, for the first time, I’m hearing that Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long may be wavering on his commitment to allow John Pelphrey the chance to coach that top five recruiting class he signed last fall."
"Supposedly there was a secret meeting inside Long’s cave at the Broyles Center wherein Long started accepting suggestions from his inner circle for possible candidates to replace Pelphrey"
With three straight losing season's looming, I don't think there is a coach in the country who could survive that at a major school.

he should have been fired the second year straight of 1 or 2 sec wins.....that might be ok if we were nobodys playing against the big east but were arkansas playing in the worst sec since we joined.

It is going to happen.
Our basketball profits could really help our athletic budget right now. Instead, it is bringing it down. Long wants to start doing renovations and additions in basketball & baseball soon, and we are not going to be able to do that with the basketball program not being a huge money maker.
Not to mention, in a few years something is going to have to be done to the inside of Barnhill Arena or our gymnastics and volleyball teams are going to be moving to Bud Walton.

If you're unhappy with Pelphrey, you will be ready to commit hari-kari after a year of Brady. He was awful at LSU and only a few delusional ranters think otherwise. He'd succeed only taking the Razorback program to a low level that would be almost unimaginable.
