You are telling me the NCAA turned a blind eye on the recruitment of Derek Pegues, Robert Elliott, Dicenzo Miller, hell most of Jackie Sherrill's tenure, among many others. Rick Stansbury was the head coach in Starkville, cheating his arse off for over a decade. Yet it took the not unique circumstances of Leo Lewis' recruitment to make them turn over every rock in Mississippi to find some semblance of impropriety on Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss? This couldn't be any more stereotypical Mississippi if it had high blood pressure and was low key racist.
The NCAA must have not appreciated the way the Tuohys portrayed their great organization in The Blind Side. Maybe the rest of the SEC and nation didn't appreciate how once little Ole Miss started building great facilities, stealing recruits from all over the country over longer traditional powers, and began winning meaningful football games again consistently. Maybe Mississippi State couldn't handle getting their arse kicked when it was supposed to be "Their State." Now they potentially sit in a worse situation than they were in 2015.
All in all this should be a joy to read in a few years. Certainly more exciting than anything the SEC is producing on the field in 2017.

Now this is a high quality melt that even goes old school bringing up good ole Jackie Sherrill. I got no dog in this fight but I'll agree that Sherrill and Stansbury are more crooked than Hillary's checkbook. Well done! Have an up vote.

No...what made them go turn over every rock as you say...is the fct that people knew ole miss was up to no good, you had parents of former players saying you had given benefits to an athete that played there, laremy tunsil. His father turned out to be correct after laremy tunsil himself came out and admitted that he had received money from a coach and they had leaked text messages that proved it. That's why the ncaa did more digging. YOU frickers are unreal. You got caught cheating and now you don't want to deal with the consequences. Having a businessman file suit on players for state for defamation. What a fricking joke. Oh yeah then there's laquon treadwell flashing thousands of dollars while apparently on a recruiting visit to oxford...saying "I love oxford". That's why. Where there's smoke there's fire and there was a shite load of smoke. You got caught and I don't blame ole miss for fighting the allegations but it really seems as if yall are trying to dictate the penalies to the ncaa after self imposing a bowl ban and schollys. You aren't getting off that easy. They're going to take you behind the woodshed for cheating, and now for causing a big scene trying to wiggle your way out of a couple infractions. I'm going to love it when the penalty phase comes. Lol.

OP missed the NFL draft last year apparently.
The 3 no no's on cheating:
1) don't lie when caught (don't set the NCAA up to look
like a fool)
2) don't have your misdeeds go viral/public (NCAA looks
fool if they don't slap you)
3) do it gradually and don't go too far over market
value. (throwing around crazy money like a lottery
winner and beating big time programs overnight)
Recklessness so apparent your name gets thrown around with SMU isn't favorable.

You have a much higher opinion of what Ole Miss has recently accomplished than most, especially, Blueblood SEC schools fans such as Bama, Au, UF, LSU, UGA and UT.
When did Ole Miss win all of these meaningful games? I don't remember any SECG wins? Any BCS or playoff wins? Hell no appearances to any of the meaningful games.
No one (traditional powers) is jealous of your facilities. In fact we're glad you did upgrade those dumps and hope you continue with improving them, bad image for the rest of us to be seen in those Texas highschool sized stadiums and facilities.

Wait, he was bragging about om facilities? Lol, that's funny right there. They hAve the worst stadium in the sec west I believe. I like miss st football stadium better than ole miss'. Good lord, their facilities are at the bottom of the conference. They have better facilities than vandy...that's honestly about it. Maybe mizzou, but I don't even think that they have mizzou beat. What a dilusional bunch.
