On Fox Sports, 14 coaches were listed as Saban's replacement. What? No Les Miles?

Skip Bayless continues to bash Saban, unlike Pawwl, he didn't get into sports media to be Saban's masseuse.

Unless Dabo doesn't want to follow a legend, there's nobody ahead of him for that phone call.

I know I'm in the minority, but I like cowherd when he's not trying to do a hot take

Everyone says Dabo. But Dabo is in an easier conference, has built a strong contender, and has far less pressure than following Saban. I just don't see it happening. He has it made right now in Clemson.

If that is the case they might call some of the coaches mentioned, but those guys at the top are doing well and probably won't want to follow a legend either. I think Saban is about 7-10 years years away from retiring. There might be somebody else Bama has in mind by then.

I have a friend whose family is very, very close to Dabo's family.

He wants the job, but only if he is the only candidate. He doesn't want to be the 2nd or 3rd choice and with his resume I don't blame him.

We'll see if that is true sooner or later.

ACC was a better football conference than the SEC last year. I hate to admit that, but it clearly was.

I think 4-5 SEC teams could have played for a championship with an ACC schedule.

Louisville (ACC#3) was beaten by Kentucky, and destroyed by LSU. Clemson lost to Pitt, Fla St was beatable. So, yeah multiple SEC teams could have won their league.

I'm still not convinced that Mama's gonna call. IMO,he's going to have to show he can win without Watson at QB. If he can maintain a top-5 program for the next 2-3 years going forward, I'd be inclined to agree.

He already has. 3 years prior to Watson:

2011 10-4
2012 11-2
2013 11-2

he's an alumnus who played on the team. He has proven he's a winner and a great recruiter. If he's the first call we make when Saban retires, he will take it. An average coach is gonna have success with what Saban is gonna leave behind, dabo would be perfectly capable of keeping it going

Oh, hell yeah. Let's listen to 2 of the best Bama haters. No other way would we get a better coach.....
