Jimbo is a helluva coach. Surprised LSU didn't pursue him more.

Maybe we'll pick him up after next season.

His QB was 9-27 with a pick. Take away a fluke 92 yard scoring play and well....
Jimbo has peaked and FSU will live to regret the mindless extension they gave the guy. Cam Akers will know after his freshman year that FSU was a poor choice.

Jimbo would have killed it at LSU and he'd never leave FSU for College Station.

You would have to throw serious money at him. Alleva said he tried. He's just in it for the money so we moved on.

Jimbo had the better players. Harbaugh was the better coach.

Not without a 10 year contract. That is insane for ANYONE outside of Saban and Meyer. Maybe the raise is all he really wanted, but damn. I'm fine with Alleva not entertaining that kind of a demand, and Fisher was the guy I preferred all along.

Maybe. But Harbaugh has never even won his conference. EVER. I don't understand all the praise and adoration he gets. At least Fisher has won the National Championship. Before calling Harbaugh a better coach, why don't we see him win his own conference, first.

From what I understand the secret to getting Jimbo is lots of money in a big dumb contract.

That is right in our wheelhouse. Don't project Joe's cheapness onto us.

We were paying Sumlin more than Les for years now.

He has Michigan on the strong rise and what he accomplished and put in place at Stanford was remarkable.

So, you were not sold he was a good coach? Do you think he was better than Les Miles? Why not give him 10 if he is a good coach? he certainly elevated Florida State. With the talent LSU has, and Fisher's ties to Florida for recruiting....it could have been Saban 2.0 if LSU had gotten him. We will never know now. Imagine having Louisiana talent locked up with a pipeline coming in from Florida to boot, and being next door to Texas. Scary. (I understand LSU does ok recruiting Florida, but Fisher could have kicked that up a notch)

But has never won his conference. I don't think he can beat Urban Meyer, honestly. You are right, that he has turned Michigan around, but I want to see him win a conference title before I crown him better than a coach that has won the National Championship.

Dude, he built up Stanford. Do you have any idea how bad they were?

These are still Brady Hokes recruits. You gotta give him time to build his own roster.

I don't think you understand that he's only been there for 2 years. He should've won this year.
