If te'o wins, they need to retire the trophy, because it will be obvious it isn't about on-field performance. It's all about who has the best personal story and who is on USC/ND/UTa's roster.

A lot of SEC hate in the media as well. JFF will be punished by some because he plays in the sec.

I agree. Herbie was basically campaigning for Te'o at the end of the game.
Sadly, I think with all of the jealousy and resentment towards the SEC lately, people will look for any reason at all not to give it to an SEC player. O, and he's Hawaiian. People will eat that shite up. Sorry JFF fans, but it's the truth.

I wonder how the regional voting works. SEC country is almost 100% Johnny, right? Any anti-ND sentiment on the West Coast? Any rational people in Big 12 country that are over being butthurt about A&M?

So people are just now getting outraged over this?
McFadden was jobbed twice, once to Troy Smith because he was a sophomore then the next year he lost it to a sophomore due to him being a feel good story and some stats that no one gave a shite about before when combined but with it was like OMGz can you believez itz?
