Jesus Auburn, your schedule hurts my eyes...

Outside of your 3 automatic non-conference wins (Georgia Southern, Mercer, and Louisiana Monroe) yall would have to have the hardest 9 game P5 schedule in the country. I see only one game that could be considered a gimme, at least imo, in the Missouri game. Still, it is at Missouri, and if they get their defense together Drew Lock could make any game a tough one.
(9/09) Auburn @ Clemson
(9/23) Auburn @ Missouri
(9/30) Auburn vs Mississippi State
(10/07) Auburn vs Ole Miss
(10/14) Auburn @ LSU
(10/21) Auburn @ Arkansas
(11/04) Auburn @ Texas A&M
(11/11) Auburn vs Georgia
(11/25) Auburn vs Alabama
Home games with FPI ranking:
Mississippi State (#24)
Ole Miss (#37)
Georgia (#13)
Alabama (#2)
***Average home game FPI rank (#19)***
Away games with FPI ranking:
Clemson (#4)
Missouri (#41)
LSU (#10)
Arkansas (#42)
Texas A&M (#20)
***Average away game FPI ranking (#23)***
Y'all could go 8-4 and, realistically, be a top 10 team in the country.

Mamma didn't raise no bitch. We took one of the hardest schedules of all time in 2010 and went undefeated.

Auburn has always had a tough schedule every year since the beginning of eternity

Second year in a row we have played the two teams in the previous NC game.

If yall beat Clemson, thinks could get interesting. I think this could be the year where a 10-2 sneaks into the playoff, and I believe yall are set up to be the team that has the best chance of finding themselves in that situation.
FWIW, I think the SEC looks like this:
TIER 1:
-Bama
TIER 2a:
-Auburn
-LSU
-MSU
TIER 2b
-South Carolina
-Tennessee
-Georgia
TIER 3
-Ole Miss
-Arkansas
-Florida
TIER 4:
-Texas A&M
-Kentucky
TIER 5:
-Kentucky
TIER 6:
-Vanderbilt
Say Auburn beats Clemson and loses to State and Bama and finished 10-2 with wins against Clemson, LSU, and UGA.
State loses to Bama and LSU, and finishes 10-2 with wins against UGA and Auburn.
Bama wins out and finishes 12-0
LSU loses to Auburn and Bama, and finishes 10-2 with wins against Tennessee and MSU.
This is not a far fetched scenario, although crazy early, I know. Either way, I think Auburn has over a 50% chance of making the playoff in this scenario, it's a hell of a resume.
Wins against a 10-2 LSU team at their place, a most likely 11-1 ACC champion Clemson team at their place, and a win against the probably East champion if not co-champion in Georgia. Only losses would be to a 10-2 MSU team and a 12-0 Alabama team.
I don't see a big 12 team making it this year. FSU is screwed w/o Francois and already has a loss to Bama and in this scenario Clemson. I don't think they could take clemson over Auburn in this scenario. It would probably be:
1. Bama
2. Ohio State
3. Pac12 champ
4. Auburn
Remember I said this, this is the year a 10-2 team makes the playoff. If it's gonna be Auburn yall gotta take care of Business at Clemson. It's gonna be a tough task but I think yall have a chance if Stidham is the real deal, we will see.
Good luck, Fellas.

Auburn just has to tie their opponents in x's amd o's because suburbs kicker is dominate
LSU and bama kickers will lose game. Auburn kicker will win game

Have you heard of the SEC. Freaking clown.
Posted on 9/4/17 at 11:29 pm to holdmydak
How is this schedule much different than any of the other sec west schedules after the clemson game. ATM is likely done. That loss was devastating to the players and coaches I would imagine. The other sec games are on par with the rest of the west. Clemson is the only game to stand out.
Posted on 9/4/17 at 11:32 pm to labamafan
Georgia maybe? Three straight SEC road games? We'll see.
Posted on 9/4/17 at 11:34 pm to DoubleBubbleTrouble
Yeah I'm not putting down on the schedule I just don't see other than Clemson how it's different than any other sec west schedule. Georgia is such an unknown at this time to me. I don't think we know enough about them yet.
Posted on 9/4/17 at 11:40 pm to labamafan
That's fair. Georgia is very talented, deep, and has had our number. Beneficial we get both UGA/Bama home this year.
Posted on 9/4/17 at 11:45 pm to DoubleBubbleTrouble
Only games I see as toss up are LSU and Bama. I think Clemson wins and I hate to say it they may repeat this year.
Posted on 9/4/17 at 11:49 pm to labamafan
I don't agree with Clemson repeating. They came very close to losing multiple games against inferior competition last year. Leadership and sheer determination bailed them out. If the same adversity happens this year - I see them losing. Maybe not against us, but someone.
Posted on 9/4/17 at 11:53 pm to holdmydak
Doesn't Auburn lose to Georgia basically every year unless they win on a miracle or have Cam? Same goes for Alabama.
They never win in Tiger Stadium. They'll lose to Clemson in a close one.
8-4 sounds about right.
