He looks really, really good right now.

Even better is Kerryon Johnson opening the running game up a bit. Need to get better there though.

But honestly, he has to prove that he can continue to be effective against good pass rushes. Missouri and Miss State were terrible in getting pressure on him whereas Clemson shut him down by owning the line of scrimmage.

He appears to be getting the ball out quicker and the changes on the offensive line appear to be helping as well. Hard to tell how much though because the defensive lines we have played aren't near the same level as Clemson. I doubt we know for sure until UGA and Bama.

He looked awful against the lone good Defense he has faced so far. He can't handle pressure at all.

Ok cool, so he is good against bad defenses. This we already knew.

Because no one improves over the year (after a two year layoff).

How’d Jalen Hurts look against that defense last year? You know, even though 2016 isn’t as good as 2017 Clemson on defense.

The benefit and the drawback is that he won't face a good DL until the end of the season. LSU's DL has the tools to be good, but hasn't produced yet.

I say drawback because it will be hard to tell if he's gotten to the point of being able to handle the pressure, and he won't get any true reps except facing his own DL in practice - which we all know doesn't always work out.

Agreed. Jeremy Johnson 2.0. I wouldn't even bother game planning for him.

Nobody has ever hyped Jalen as a Heisman candidate or the savoir of Alabama football. Lets also remember you rubes did the same with Jeremy Johnson. Stidham is an average QB.
