Let's not make Jake out to be anything other than average and we will all be better for it. He has heart, and a strong determination. That's all I need.

Slightly above average. Obviously not the Heisman candidate that was being touted when he first transferred, nor the laughingstock bust that our rivals wanted to believe.

Good, solid, gutsy game manager who can make some good throws when we need him and nothing spectacular. In other words, exactly the type of QB that has won most of Alabama's national titles in the modern era, with the exception of AJ's senior year.

That sounds accurate. I like that gutsy type of qb.

They are going to kick you out of the Bammer Club for being rational

Well it is what it is, we don't need a world beater but if we had one life would be easier.

Yep.

He's good enough.

I really want to sunshine pump, but I will wait until playoffs are over. Remember Sims was good enough until the playoffs started.

Three years of rust from watching three different NFL first round choices play ahead of you has an effect. Would have been similar at Bama though, had he chosen UA out of high school. He would have watched AJ and it's hard to say if he would have any more game experience since Saban doesn't play his 2nd QB that much.

Sims is still my favorite QB of the Saban era

Without Henry, Bama loses about 4 games. Thats why Henry was Heisman. Coker is extreme average and hasn't been required to win a single game. His running ability is his best attribute. Kiffen deserves credit for what he's done with that.

I agree with you assessment, but I'd love a little quicker (and better) decision making and first couple of steps.

You are right, several of his big throws were great catches and he should have released it earlier. Ridley against Florida is a Prime example. No secondary has matched him step for step, but when the ball is late there is nothing you can do.

This saved Bama's arse more than his arm did that is for sure. The guy had timely gigantic runs to keep drives going.

Lol that rates Nebraska's QB at 24 and he's one of the worst I've seen this year
