They have honestly been pretty similar in their true freshman seasons with Eason being better through 7 games statistically. I have a feeling Jacob will be running for his life most of the day Saturday so I will be impressed if he has good day. That Gator defense is good.

Would be surprised if JE doesn't throw three picks. He's good, but UF defense is unreal.

His OL and WR's are not.

And, yes, UF's defense is very good.

It's going to be a long day for our offense.

Florida D gave up 35 points in 14 minutes to Tennessee. That D played shite teams except Tennessee. Overrated.

Stafford had so much more talent around him, especially at receiver and OL.

I agree about more talent at WR but OL? Wasn't OL the weak point of the offense ? It seem like UGA had NFL players every where on offense back then.

The 2006 and 2007 beatings are among my favorite UGA games. In 2006 a "bad" UGA team beat #5 auburn at home and Matt Stafford finally looked like he'd succeed. Good times!

You would not be saying the same if our first string quarterback had been playing. They are lightyears of difference between the two.

There's a dash of luck having our transfer second-string quarterback taking snaps for the first time ever at our institution.

Not first downs = hard game for the defense, because when they were fresh they absolutely dominated Tennessee.

We're one year away, kiddo.

They are. It's just undeniable. We haven't had a decent quarterback and ours got knocked out on a 32 - 0, least yards allowed in the history of the program.

The defense is for real, the problem has always been our slow offense.

You just happened to get the Purdue Transfer who can't make first down throws to save his life. First downs = Rested defense.

Rested Defense means: 0 Touchdowns, 1 Interception. Tenessee couldn't even score within the 5 yardline. ALmost the entire production came in the second half, when our defense got gassed from an unproductive offense, mostly because our second-string quarterback took over.

EDIT: Tennessee was within the five yard line twice and came away with nothing.

It is what it is.

I just watched Del Rio look like absolute dogshit against a piss poor Mizzou defense. If you want to blame your play calling for the loss to Tennessee, that's fine, but blaming Appleby is bullshite.

Holding Tennessee to 35 points in one half was an impressive feat.
