He didn't refute anything Allen said.

You're right. The A&M situation has seemed super stable lately. I'm sure it was all murray/allen's fault. Everything should be A-OK next year.

There was one helluva lot of high draft choices on the Manziel team. They didn't become high draft choices by sitting on their arse.

Kyle Allen would be a whole lot better off if he had accepted the challenge of competing for PT rather than taking his marbles and going home.

Allen would have had the QB job locked down if he didn't throw 3 pick sixes against Bama.

As Sean Porter said "Own your losses."

Allen is completely right. That behavior by the players emanates from the coaches, administration, and even the fan base. Every SEC fan besides the aggies understands this fundamental truth:

YOU CANNOT BUY CREDIBILITY.

A&M is the newbie who shows up to his first basketball practice with $300 shoes and all of the best gear money can buy.

They repeat it themselves:

"new stadium!"

"best facilities!"

"$5 million coach!"

Then, they stand around and scratch their heads when sustained success doesn't just happen.

Ultimately, this kind of behavior will probably not stop and they will continue to burn piles of money in their attempts to buy a name that people respect. The big 12 was lucky to lose them.

STTD,B and five in a row.

Since A&M joined the SEC, Team Vote U has the exact same number of conference and division titles, one more loss, one fewer bowl win, and an epically retarded fanbase who wanted their best coach ever fired.

Where's your sustained success. Why do you have the same record as Aggy since expansion?

One could argue that's part of the problem. You had a unique group of supremely talented and self-motivated (to a degree) players who could be given a long leash and still perform on Saturdays.

They were the outlier. It seems like Sumlin failed to realize/recognize that.

As for Allen - I fully expect him to go to UH and put up video game numbers for a couple of seasons - and leaving that place as a high draft pick.

seems fair since Kyle is also talking about a so called culture that he wasn't there to see firsthand.

Doubt it. He seems like a pussy who quit on his team when things didn't go his way.

Did you not read the interview? Allen insinuated that the Manziel era created a lax culture that is persistent in the team today. Sumlin runs a loose ship and sells recruits in fancy barbershops and uniforms, helicopters and rap DJs at practice. Allen was smart enough to realize that the environment in college station is not one consistent with winning programs. Herman likes to have fun but also instills discipline and respect. When you experience the unprecedented scenario of your two top quarterbacks leaving within 2 weeks of each other there are major problems. Allen could have used this interview to flame the team and the university but instead took the high road and simply answered questions that the reporter asked and that everybody had on their minds.
