Keeping Les is just as much a risk as moving on.
I know it's the "status quo" so people have a hard time thinking of maintaining it as a "risk", but that's exactly what it is. Tennessee and Texas held on to their Les Miles' too long and it cost them big time.

I would respect LSU for ditching him. Little chance Miles wins a championship and if you aren't playing for championships what's the point. Hell, even Aubrin has proven they can win a championship, no reason for LSU not to try for it. Sure, they can go 6-6 for a few years but at least they will be giving a championship a shot.

Factual, concrete info: Miles is 19-12 in conference since 2011. 6 of those 12 losses have been by at least 3 scores. Les Miles is 5-5 against Bert, Gus, and Freeze in the last 3 years. LSU is the most penalized team in the SEC despite playing one less game than the rest of the conference.
Tell me with a straight goddamn face that Les can win another conference title at LSU.
