So most Alabama fans have accepted the fact that for some reason, Richardson just did not do well in the NFL. However, looking back at some highlights from the 2011 season, the man was an absolute animal. Here's a link: LINK

If you watch that video, he seemingly has all the tools in the world. Vision, speed, power, finesse. So what happened?

he didn't give a shite once he got drafted with guaranteed money and he wasn't that good to begin with. just had an amazing O line.

Never learned the playbook. That's what Alabama fans always told me.

Watch the video and tell me he wasn't good with a straight face. Yes he had an amazing Oline, but his vision was top notch, he broke tackles, and had straight line speed to match.

I think it shows just how good his offensive line was at Alabama.

Also, I don't see anything from that video that screams amazing vision.

He was a man amongst boys even in college. He never had to learn fundamentals because he powered trough and completely destroyed people. He was the toughest back to bring down I've ever seen.

When he got to the NFL he wasn't playing against boys anymore and they were just as strong as he was.

that doesn't explain why he runs into the back of the offensive line in the NFL

He never had good vision, you're a terrible scout.

He was a man amongst boys and had an amazing OL at Bama. When he was in HS he was jacked more than most NFL guys. As his body continued to develop he's gotten really really thick which has hurt his range of motion and therefore his speed, quickness, agility, burst. So the talent caught up to him in he NFL and surpassed him as his skills regressed. Because he's never had to give 100% because of how far ahead he was in HS and college (and who he was playing with in college) he doesn't have what it takes mentally to make up for it. That and his lack of vision and bad NFL OLs that don't open up 10 foot holes for him has also hurt.

Money can change a man.

He got his and the work ethic disappeared.

Running the ball in CFB is a lot easier than in the NFL.

I thought there was a strong belief he used steroids at Alabama. He missed an NFL combine to have his knee "scoped" which is nothing and appears more to dodge drug testing. This was during McElwain era. Just google "Trent Richardson steroids" and several links come up.

Running backs last in general 3 years now in the NFL according to the crappy bleacher report that popped up when I googled it. I guess he did alright, but was no Adrian Peterson.
